India to Utilize Solar Power for Rural Areas

India is planning on using solar power to electrify rural areas. Prime Minister of New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah, shown here, said that although the cost is currently too expensive, their National Solar Mission will look into a less costly means of energy that will include storage and uninterrupted flow. Offering incentives to companies to help develop the new power structure, the government is hoping to get remote areas going in the next few years.
