Solar People Mover Designed for Italy

iosa02.jpg

Iosa Ghini Associati, an Italian design team, has designed a people mover for the city of Bologna. At a total length of 5084 meters, the monorail and two terminals, one at the airport and one at the main train station, feature photovoltaic panels on the southwest side. The station roofs are angled to house the solar system without taking away from its general design. Plants are incorporated both around the exterior and along its walls.
