Villa Akar Gives Back Energy

villakarp.jpg

Physics expert Karin Adalberth is designing the Villa Akar outside of Malmo, Sweden, that is not only energy efficient, it will give it back to the grid during sunny months. Included in the plans are 32 sq. meters of solar panels that are used between April and October. With 2,600 kwh purchased and 4,000 kwh sold back, this Swedish "plusenergihus" will perhaps serve as a model for other designers.
