Experts Predict Rise in Solar Market

sunflowerswitch.jpg

Roger Efird, chairman of the Solar Energy Industries Association and Managing Director for Suntech America, has predicted that the US solar market will double this year. His reasoning is that it has become affordable for middle class families and believes that installed capacity could reach 1GW in 2010.

CEO of Acro Energy Technologies Harry Fleming claims that the average cost of a 5 kilowatt power system in California has fallen $6,000 in the past year and a half, and should drop another three by the end of the year with incentives. Acro is adding to the savings by offering 4 months of solar electricity free if you sign with them before March 1.
